Advantages of Private Drug Rehab

Advantages of Private Drug Rehab

When you are choosing a rehab center you must also have to choose between a public and private drug rehab. While both private drug rehab and public drug rehab have some advantages, you want to pick the drug rehab that is right for you and in many instances that tends to be a private drug rehab.

The primary advantage of a public drug rehab is the low or even no cost to attend it. If money isn’t an issue for you than private drug rehab will be perfect for you. While private drug rehab isn’t low or no cost it is worth the amount it costs to go because it has many added benefits that you are paying for.

Here are the advantages of private drug rehab:

Advantages of private drug rehab: Privacy

Just as the name private drug rehab states, it also provides just that: privacy. A private drug rehab, much unlike a public drug rehab, will have a smaller group which means that privacy is much more tended too. The less people that know about your attendance at private drug rehab the better right? Also private drug rehab is specifically designed around the idea of being especially discreet and confidential. Private drug rehab offers specific services to keep this in mind such as transportation and single person accommodations.

Advantages of private drug rehab: People just like you

Because of the cost to attend private drug rehab, the people who attend it usually to be fairly the same economically and career-wise. This means that you will have people who you can relate to and who most likely have some of the same financial, familial, and career issues that you have. This is especially helpful when trying to get off drugs and keep everything in tact at the same time. You will be able to bounce ideas and solutions off your peers.

Advantages of private drug rehab: More one on one time

Because not as many people go to private drug rehab there are less people in attendance. This means that all the focus and care that you need you will be able to get. There will be no waiting to see a therapist or getting help for when you are struggling with something. You will be able to receive a unique and specialized program for helping you stay sober and be able to utilize anytime you want.

Advantages of private drug rehab: All the other stuff

Private drug rehab usually offers many luxury amenities and this is part of the reason it costs a bit more to go. It is well worth it though because private drug rehab offers many things such as:

  • Acupuncture
  • Vitamin Therapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Chiropractic care
  • Gym memberships
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Yoga classes
  • Luxury accommodations
  • Private transportation
  • Catered meals
  • Nutrition groups
  • Spa days
  • Deep sea fishing

And a lot more. Private drug rehab also allows you other specific things that public drug rehab couldn’t so you can keep everything in order while you attend. For instance you will be allowed your cellphone and laptop in order to keep your business or career moving forward while you get better again.

There are tons of advantages of private rehab that make it well worth it. The biggest advantage of private rehab though is the fact that you get to get your life back, get sober, and learn how to stay sober all in the comfortable and relaxing environment of a luxury treatment center.

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments

Hardly a week goes by that we don’t hear of some new high-profile actor, singer, or politician checking into a center to treat a drug or alcohol problem. And when a celebrity goes to rehab, it’s often to an exclusive facility with marble baths, ocean views, and a full spa. But, spa-like treatment is becoming more and more the norm when it comes to alcohol rehab. The focus of alcohol rehab with spa treatments is the patient’s comfort. Detox and rehab can be both physically and psychologically taxing for the alcoholic who is convalescing.  There are withdrawal symptoms and an adjustment period to living without the use of alcohol.

Inpatient Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments provides clients with the feeling of staying at a major resort or luxury hotel. Such programs combine recreation with classes designed to help recovering alcoholics learn to develop a lifestyle independent from substances or addictive behaviors that have previously run their lives. These programs provide retreat where clients can take a vacation from the difficulties of their daily lives and more rigorous schedules to make a major change for the better.

Luxurious services providing outer beauty and inner peace leave clients feeling more at ease for the duration of their stay.

Massage therapy is probably the key treatment of a refined and exquisite spa experience. Massage therapy has been shown to not only help with relaxation but also helps with circulation and overall physical wellbeing.

Facials are good for detoxifying skin. As the clients discontinue their use of alcohol, the toxins begin to come through the pores of their skin. That is why the spa experience of facials is so important. Facials will leave the client feeling clear, refreshed, healthy and hydrated. Clients will glow with the life that they are beginning to enjoy again.

Body Treatments are different than massages in the sense that the focus is to nourish the skin. Body treatments are similar to a facial but, for the whole body. A spa experience body treatment will leave the skin healthy, hydrated, replenished, and renewed. It is important to take care of the skin. After all, it is the largest organ in the body and also, the first thing others see.

Resort Style Rehabilitation

What is Resort Style Rehab

What is Resort Style Rehab?

Resort style rehab refers to drug rehabilitation facilities that resemble luxury resorts. They are a destination for relaxation and recreation while getting the necessary treatment and care for drug and alcohol addictions. Resort style rehabs provide amenities and accommodations such five-star dining, plush penthouse suites, entertainment, sports, and outings to local area tourism such as beaches and shopping districts.

Relaxation

First and foremost, the mission of resort style rehabs is to provide comfort and relaxation. Besides physically “getting away from it all,” you get to relax in a comfortable setting with access to services and amenities that promote peace of mind and tranquility. For example, resort style rehabs provide such ancient practices as acupuncture, massage therapy, and aromatherapy. Luxury rehabs also offer spa experiences as part and parcel of your stay. Basically, anything that promotes serenity and relaxation while beginning a new and healthy lifestyle can be found at a resort style rehabilitation center.

Accommodations

Resort style rehabs provide luxurious living quarters like those you would expect to find at any up-scale resort. The residences are private, penthouse style condominiums with all of the amenities of home: comfortable lounging furniture, personal entertainment systems such as state-of-the-art flat screen televisions, lavishly comfortable beds, secluded patios, and private kitchen and dining areas. And, of course, your own private bath.

Alternative and Holistic Methods of Therapy

Another aspect of resort style rehabilitation is that it offers holistic healing practices and alternative methods to treatment. Typically, resort style rehabs will offer one-on-one sessions with expert nutritionists and chiropractors. There is guided meditation, hypnotherapy, yoga therapy, reflexology, music therapy, and art therapy. Resort style rehabs may provide equine-assisted therapy, homeopathy, naturopathy, Ayurvedic medicine practices, and Reiki healing. These are all offered on-premises and many times brought to you in the privacy of your own exclusive residence while staying at a resort style rehab center.

Recreation and Entertainment

At any resort style rehab, you will find on-premises and exclusive pools and hot tubs, fitness centers, and often times saunas and steam rooms. They may provide art classes such as painting, drawing and ceramics. And depending on its location, resort style rehabs provide for trips to go skiing, kayaking, beach going, golfing, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, and exclusive shopping.

Other Amenities

Resort style rehabilitation programs and facilities offer various other exclusive amenities not found at typical rehabs. These include Limo service, private visitation with family and friends, and gourmet meals prepared by five-star chefs.

Benefits to a Resort Style Rehab

Resort style rehabs incorporate everything there is to nourish the mind, body, and spirit to facilitate the healing process once you make a commitment to a sober lifestyle. Although many other rehabs boast individualized treatment plans, only at resort style rehab programs will you find individually-tailored therapy and treatment plans that include a holistic approach with both ancient and state-of-the-art healing techniques. Their mission is to promote health and well-being in an environment of utmost comfort and luxury. Your wants, needs, and expectations will not only be met but, surpassed.

Celebrity in Recovery Profile: Robert Downey, Jr.

robert downey jr

Robert Downey, Jr. is one of the most iconic actors of our generation. We most recently saw him in the new Iron Man and almost everyone knows; Robert Downey, Jr. is a recovered alcoholic and drug addict.

Robert Downey, Jr. The Addiction

From the years of 1996 to 2001, Robert Downey Jr. was in the heat of his addiction. Downey was arrested numerous times for drug related charges including cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. He went several times through drug treatment programs trying to beat his addiction and did so unsuccessfully. He tried to explain his relapses and his addiction to drugs through the fact that he had been addicted since he was eight. He said his father was an addict and had been giving them to him.

In April 1996, Robert Downey, Jr. was arrested for the possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded .357 Magnum handgun while he was speeding down Sunset Boulevard. A month later he was on parole and trespassed into a neighbor’s home while under the influence and fell asleep in one of the beds. He was sentenced to three years of probation and required to undergo drug testing. In 1997, he missed one of the drug tests and had to spend four months in the Los Angeles County Jail. Downey missed another drug test in 1999 and was arrested again. Despite efforts to keep him out of jail he ended up serving a three year prison term at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran, California.

Robert Downey, Jr. spent nearly a year in that drug treatment center and was unexpectedly freed when a judge ruled that his collective time in incarceration facilities had qualified him for early release. After being released from the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in 2000 for drug charges, Robert Downey, Jr. joined the cast of the TV series Ally McBeal playing Calista Flockhart’s love interest. His performance in Ally McBeal gave him a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. His character had been written when Robert Downey, Jr. was fired after two drug arrests in late 2000 and early 2001. After one last stay in a court-ordered drug treatment program Robert Downey, Jr. following this, he moved from addiction into recovery.

Robert Downey, Jr. Recovery

After five years of substance abuse, arrests, rehab, and relapse, Robert Downey Jr. was finally ready to work toward a full recovery from drugs and a return to his career. In discussing his failed attempts to control his own addictive behavior in the past, Downey told Oprah Winfrey in November 2004 that “when someone says, ‘I really wonder if maybe I should go to rehab?’ Well, uh, you’re a wreck, you just lost your job, and your wife left you. Uh, you might want to give it a shot.”

He added that after his last arrest in April 2001, when he knew he would likely be facing another stint in prison or another form of incarceration such as court-ordered rehab, “I said, ‘You know what? I don’t think I can continue doing this.’ And I reached out for help, and I ran with it. You can reach out for help in kind of a half-assed way and you’ll get it and you won’t take advantage of it. It’s not that difficult to overcome these seemingly ghastly problems…what’s hard is to decide to do it.”

Downey says he has been drug-free and in recovery since July 2003, thanks to his family, therapy, meditation, twelve-step recovery programs, yoga and the practice of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He has described his religious beliefs as “Jewish-Buddhist” and in the past has been interested in Christianity and the Hare Krishna ideology

Luxury Alcohol Treatment

Luxury Alcohol Treatment

Today, luxury alcohol treatment is not just for celebrities and business executives. Private treatment centers offer luxurious accommodations and amenities in a resort-style setting, all the while offering the most up to date addiction treatment protocols.

Traditional rehab environments offer treatment in drab, hospital like settings. They employ a philosophy aimed at treating the highest number of patients and focus less on individualized care. However, every client is different, and sometimes this standardized program ignores the specific needs of individuals.

Luxury alcohol treatment is different. Instead of creating a standard program for all clients, luxury alcohol treatment offers personalized care aimed specifically at the needs of each individual client. The program is designed during the intake process and it is continually reevaluated throughout your stay.

Luxury alcohol treatment understands the need for a soothing, calm environment while you focus completely on your recovery. Luxury alcohol treatment aims to provide the most comfortable and serene conditions that eliminate the stressors of the outside world.

While many different kinds of people seek the services of luxury alcohol treatment, high-profile clients like celebrities and business executives can rest assured that their privacy will be protected. Luxury alcohol treatment works hard to provide absolute confidentiality to all clients. No one will know you are seeking addiction treatment unless you want them to.

Luxury alcohol treatment centers understand that the same treatment protocols don’t work for everyone. Because they are privately funded, luxury alcohol treatment centers are able to provide a wide range of treatment options. Cognitive behavioral therapy, holistic treatment protocols, career and relationship coaching, and trauma resolution are just a few of the options available in luxury alcohol treatment.

Overall health is emphasized in luxury alcohol treatment. While traditional treatment centers focus solely on addiction treatment, luxury alcohol treatment focuses on healing the whole person: mind, body and spirit. To this end, luxury alcohol treatment offers healthful, gourmet food, gym access, personal trainers, nutritionists, yoga, acupuncture, and massage.

Luxury alcohol treatment understands that for true recovery and long lasting sobriety, you must create a compelling future. They work with you to establish your goals. Some of the services offered in luxury alcohol treatment include career counseling, life coaching, relationship coaching, and empowerment seminars. You can even go back to school while you are in treatment.

Luxury alcohol treatment knows the therapeutic value of entertainment and down time. You will be able to go to the beach, play golf, get spa treatments, ride horses, and relax in your spacious, private accommodations. Residences feature flat screen televisions and internet access. Absolutely anything you need to relax will be provided to you in luxury alcohol treatment centers.

Because luxury alcohol treatment centers cater to fewer clients, they are able to offer more one on one attention. Besides the one-on-one time with your therapist, the nurses, techs, and other staff will be able to offer you individual attention. If there is a problem or concern with your stay, staff members will be able to respond immediately at any time of day or night! In a luxury alcohol treatment center, you are the first priority.

Out of Town Luxury Rehab

Out of Town Luxury Rehab

When most people look for drug and alcohol treatment, their first instinct is to find something close to home. They may be hesitant to leave family, friends, or work behind. They may not think they will be able to get away for the duration of treatment, and want a place nearby so they can switch to outpatient or just go home if they are overwhelmed. However, there are a lot of reasons to consider an out of town luxury rehab.

Out of Town Luxury Rehab: Getting away from environmental triggers

One of the advantages of going to an out of town luxury rehab is that you will get away from environmental triggers that could cause you to relapse. In treatment, you will learn tools for dealing with triggers, but in early sobriety, it is best to avoid them. Think about it, at home you know how to get drugs, you know who to manipulate for money and where your dealer lives. This can be a dangerous temptation while you are trying to recover.

Going to an out of town luxury rehab also gets you away from stressors like your job, familial obligations, and friends that you used with. You will be able to focus completely on your recovery. Addiction treatment is not something you can do on the weekends, or when it is convenient for you. You must immerse yourself in a treatment setting to have the best chance of recovery. An out of town luxury rehab will allow you to do this. Consider the fact that if you don’t seek treatment now, you may not have a life to go back to. It is best to get rid of all distractions and focus on your recovery completely.

Out of Town Luxury Rehab: Privacy

A lot of the people who seek treatment at a luxury rehab put a high value on privacy. They may be celebrities, professional sports players, or high ranking business executives. Going to rehab could tarnish their reputation and affect their career. Out of town luxury rehab is the best choice for anyone who puts a premium on privacy and confidentiality. Getting away from a place where your face and name is familiar is the best way to ensure that your drug and alcohol treatment stays private. Also, knowing that your treatment is private is essential for many people to be able to open up about their issues. Being open and honest is a vital part of treatment and recovery.

Out of Town Luxury Rehab: Better chance of completion

You also have a better chance of completing treatment if you go to an out of town luxury rehab. When you are near home, it can be too easy to just give up and leave. You have friends and family members that could just pick you up. At an out of town luxury rehab, it will take more time to leave. You may have to buy a plane ticket or make other travel arrangements. In this time, you may reconsider your decision. You will be far less likely to leave on a whim, which you may later regret.

Executives and Celebrities in Rehab

Sometimes, executives must go to a place where they can still work and communicate to the office during treatment. Executives and celebrities in rehab also need a higher level of privacy and discretion.

Executives and Celebrities in Rehab: Access

Many traditional rehab centers do not allow clients to have access to technology like email and cell phones while they are in treatment. For executives and celebrities in rehab this can be unacceptable. Treatment centers that cater to executives and celebrities recognize that high profile clients cannot be cut off from professional obligations while they recover. The will accommodate your busy schedule while also maintaining the relaxing and stress-free environment that you need to recover.

And while all rehab centers are required by law to respect the confidentiality of their clients, executives and celebrities in rehab often need a higher level of vigilance. Sometimes, unscrupulous media outlets will do almost anything to discover that a certain person is in rehab. The type of treatment centers that cater to high profile clients realize this and have taken steps to ensure that each and every client can seek addiction treatment with absolute discretion. Luxury Rehab: What to Expect

What to expect at a Luxury Rehab

Luxury Rehab: What to Expect

Regardless of how luxurious a rehab is everyone can expect the same things when they go. The only difference between luxury rehab and traditional rehab is the amenities. So what is there to expect when you decide to go to luxury rehab? First of there are no locks on the doors. You are free to leave luxury rehab at any time.

The first step in luxury rehab and all rehabs is detox. Some luxury rehabs have their own in-house detox and others don’t. It is much easier if you can find a luxury rehab that has detox as well as residential treatment that way you don’t have to do all the moving around that going to a separate detox would require. You will have to go through a withdrawal process during detox. The withdrawal process at luxury rehab, you can expect to be virtually painless. Medications are given when need to make the withdrawal process at detox. So expect your detox to be comfortable but remember it is still not pleasant to be detox.

The next thing you can expect at luxury rehab is residential treatment. With residential treatment you get what you pay for and what your insurance can afford. The type of facilities, amenities and what you can do all depends on the cost. At luxury rehab you are paying the extra money for the luxurious amenities such as private transportation, gourmet food, a gym, beautiful amenities, spa days etc. While all of this is important and things you should expect at a luxury rehab which you are paying for-you are also paying to stay sober. So at luxury rehab you should also expect a top notch qualified and professional staff. Education about addiction and alcoholism is a core part of all treatment and rehab programs, luxury rehab is no different. The programs differ from treatment center to treatment center but in general the whole point is to get you to look at your addiction honestly and realistically and to change your attitude about your drug and alcohol abuse.

At luxury rehab you will have a private therapist and will be working with someone who will design you with a unique program that is specifically catered to you and your personal needs. Whether you are business professional, executive, professional athlete, performer, or celebrity the program will be catered to what you will need in order to stay sober. You can expect to get everything you need in order to stay sober so you never have to go to luxury rehab again.

Also expect luxury rehab to keep your confidentiality at the utmost of importance. Being discreet and confidential is one of the bonuses of more private and luxury rehabs. They are more exclusive and therefore are more catered to people of higher statuses.

The main thing you should expect is of yourself to attempt to get as much of you can out the experience in order to stay sober-that’s the whole point right?
