Confidentiality in Luxury Treatment Centers

Confidentiality in Luxury Treatment Centers

You have been taking care of others your whole life: family, friends, employees, your community. You take on the world and are happy to do so. Sometimes, all that stress gets to be too much and you find yourself turning to self-destructive ways of coping. At first, it’s a glass of wine in the evening or taking something for your nerves.

After a while though, you feel like you cannot manage without these. You know that you need and want to get away from it all and learn to heal and relax. You may even be aware that there is treatment for just that. And you may be worried about your privacy. You don’t want others to know your private pain and struggle.

You can relax and take comfort in knowing that there is help available and that it is strictly confidential. Confidentiality is two-fold, really. First, there are policies and practices established to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

Confidentiality and HIPAA

If you are employed, you have the freedom to take medical leave, also afforded to you by law and, just like any other medical information, going into treatment is protected by the confidentiality clause outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) passed in 1996. The HIPAA Privacy Rule provides federal protections for personal health information held by covered employees and gives them an array of rights with respect to that information.

Moreover, it has been long recognized that special considerations for confidentiality are needed for health care organizations that offer federally-funded drug or alcohol rehabilitation services. So, over a quarter century before HIPAA was passed, the Comprehensive Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Act of 1970 was passed, which specifically calls for discretion and confidentiality when it comes to those seeking alcohol and/or drug treatment.

Your colleagues, business partners, employers, and employees will only know whatever it is you choose to tell them. You may be going away for a vacation, or a business meeting, or to attend to a family affair or celebration

Highly Confidential Therapeutic Setting

Secondly, confidentiality refers to the one of the standards of excellence that the staff at a luxury treatment center has when it comes to respecting your need for privacy. The only one who will know that you are in treatment is you and whomever you choose to tell. That said, even your family members will be unaware of you entering a program. Staff does not divulge your personal information unless you have given explicit and express consent for them to do so.

Going to treatment is like a destination getaway for relaxation, serenity, and healing. Imagine your own personal oasis where you are pampered and have all your needs provided for.

Addiction recovery doesn’t have to be a daunting experience. A luxury treatment center provides private rehabilitation programs that are designed to meet your specific requests. The goal is to provide you with your own personal retreat while encouraging your growth towards the highest level of personal change.

When an individual of your standing thinks about checking in to a private rehab, you need to have trust in the fact that your personal information will be kept completely confidential. Rest assured that your personal privacy is top priority. You will never have to worry about the prying eyes of others while recovering in a luxurious executive drug rehab. It is a discreet and nurturing setting.

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments

Hardly a week goes by that we don’t hear of some new high-profile actor, singer, or politician checking into a center to treat a drug or alcohol problem. And when a celebrity goes to rehab, it’s often to an exclusive facility with marble baths, ocean views, and a full spa. But, spa-like treatment is becoming more and more the norm when it comes to alcohol rehab. The focus of alcohol rehab with spa treatments is the patient’s comfort. Detox and rehab can be both physically and psychologically taxing for the alcoholic who is convalescing.  There are withdrawal symptoms and an adjustment period to living without the use of alcohol.

Inpatient Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments provides clients with the feeling of staying at a major resort or luxury hotel. Such programs combine recreation with classes designed to help recovering alcoholics learn to develop a lifestyle independent from substances or addictive behaviors that have previously run their lives. These programs provide retreat where clients can take a vacation from the difficulties of their daily lives and more rigorous schedules to make a major change for the better.

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments is designed for those seeking treatment for alcohol abuse and addiction within a resort-like environment. Research supports the efficacy and the therapeutic value of a relaxed, vacation-like atmosphere.

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments helps clients return to a sober lifestyle and assimilate back into mainstream society. Addressing the sources and contributing factors of addiction, and how to cope with stress and misfortune are the principal focuses of most programs. Alcohol rehab with spa treatments and recovery programs include:

  • exercise programs
  • group and/or one-on-one therapy
  • meditation classes
  • nutritional instructional
  • workshops for stress management and relapse prevention
  • yoga

Alcohol Rehab with Spa Treatments are staffed by doctors and fully licensed mental health professionals, as well as certified nutritionists and instructors. While the same treatment methodologies are employed as in any traditional setting, the amenities are considerably better. Luxurious services providing outer beauty and inner peace leave clients feeling more at ease for the duration of their stay.

Massage therapy is probably the key treatment of a refined and exquisite spa experience. Massage therapy has been shown to not only help with relaxation but also helps with circulation and overall physical wellbeing.

Facials are good for detoxifying skin. As the clients discontinue their use of alcohol, the toxins begin to come through the pores of their skin. That is why the spa experience of facials is so important. Facials will leave the client feeling clear, refreshed, healthy and hydrated. Clients will glow with the life that they are beginning to enjoy again.

Body Treatments are different than massages in the sense that the focus is to nourish the skin. Body treatments are similar to a facial but, for the whole body. A spa experience body treatment will leave the skin healthy, hydrated, replenished, and renewed. It is important to take care of the skin. After all, it is the largest organ in the body and also, the first thing others see.

What is Resort Style Rehab?

Relaxation

First and foremost, the mission of resort style rehabs is to provide comfort and relaxation. Besides physically “getting away from it all,” you get to relax in a comfortable setting with access to services and amenities that promote peace of mind and tranquility. For example, resort style rehabs provide such ancient practices as acupuncture, massage therapy, and aromatherapy. Luxury rehabs also offer spa experiences as part and parcel of your stay. Another aspect of resort style rehabilitation is that it offers holistic healing practices and alternative methods to treatment. There is guided meditation, hypnotherapy, yoga therapy, reflexology, music therapy, and art therapy. Resort style rehabs may provide equine-assisted therapy, homeopathy, naturopathy, Ayurvedic medicine practices, and Reiki healing. These are all offered on-premises and many times brought to you in the privacy of your own exclusive residence while staying at a resort style rehab center.

Recreation and Entertainment

At any resort style rehab, you will find on-premises and exclusive pools and hot tubs, fitness centers, and often times saunas and steam rooms. They may provide art classes such as painting, drawing and ceramics. And depending on its location, resort style rehabs provide for trips to go skiing, kayaking, beach going, golfing, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, and exclusive shopping.

Other Amenities

Celebrity in Recovery Profile: Rob Lowe

rob lowe, Rob Lowe

Robert Hepler, better known as Rob Lowe is an American film and television star. He got his fame after appearing in movies such as The Outsiders, Oxford Blues, St. Elmo ’s Fire, and the Austin Powers’ movies. Rob Lowe also was on The West Wing and is currently playing the character Chris Traeger on Parks and Recreation. Rob Lowe has been a famous actor since the early 80’s but more importantly he is a celebrity in recovery.

In 1988, Rob Lowe was involved in a sex scandal over a videotape of him having sex with two women. One of the women was 16 and the other was 22. They were filmed with Lowe right before the night of the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta Georgia. Rob had asserted that he did not know that the second girl was underage and it was confirmed that the two had met at a bar. At the time, Rob was campaigning for Michael Dukakis. Another part of the tape was leaked at the same time as this and it showed Rob Lowe and his friend Justin Morritt, both having sex with a young American model named Jennifer in a hotel room in Paris.

Rob called his sex tape scandal the best thing that ever happened to him because it forced him to get help.

On May 10th, Rob Lowe who is now 49 celebrated 23 years of sobriety. Rob Lowe says his addictions were sex and alcohol. He does have a wife and he describes her as being his best friend and the opposite of an enabler. He credits his wife for helping him successfully battle his addiction. The thing about Rob Lowe was that he was absolutely ready for help when he went to rehab in his 20s.

Rob Lowe spoke with Piers Morgan about his positive experience with rehab while promoting his memoir in 2011.

“It was great. I loved it. Because I was ready. Problem is, people go into rehab and they’re not ready,” Lowe explained. “You want to get sober for your parents, you want to get sober for your job, you want to get sober for the cops, you want to get sober to protect your image. A lot of good reasons, by the way, but unfortunately, the only thing that works is that you have to want to get sober for you. So, I was ready. And so if they told me, ‘Hey, Lowe, you’ve got to go stand in the corner on your head,’ I would have done it. I was ready. And so if they told me, ‘Hey, Lowe, you’ve got to go stand in the corner on your head,’ I would have done it.”

He told Piers that he’s the type of person who just can’t one glass of wine, so he’s abstained from alcohol ever since “If I have a glass of wine, inevitably it’s two glasses of wine, it just begins. That’s how you know you’re one of us or you’re not.”

Luxury Rehab: What to Expect

What to expect at a Luxury Rehab

Luxury Rehab: What to Expect

Regardless of how luxurious a rehab is everyone can expect the same things when they go. The only difference between luxury rehab and traditional rehab is the amenities. So what is there to expect when you decide to go to luxury rehab? First of there are no locks on the doors. You are free to leave luxury rehab at any time.

The first step in luxury rehab and all rehabs is detox. Some luxury rehabs have their own in-house detox and others don’t. It is much easier if you can find a luxury rehab that has detox as well as residential treatment that way you don’t have to do all the moving around that going to a separate detox would require. You will have to go through a withdrawal process during detox. The withdrawal process at luxury rehab, you can expect to be virtually painless. Medications are given when need to make the withdrawal process at detox. So expect your detox to be comfortable but remember it is still not pleasant to be detox.

The next thing you can expect at luxury rehab is residential treatment. With residential treatment you get what you pay for and what your insurance can afford. The type of facilities, amenities and what you can do all depends on the cost. At luxury rehab you are paying the extra money for the luxurious amenities such as private transportation, gourmet food, a gym, beautiful amenities, spa days etc. While all of this is important and things you should expect at a luxury rehab which you are paying for-you are also paying to stay sober. So at luxury rehab you should also expect a top notch qualified and professional staff. Education about addiction and alcoholism is a core part of all treatment and rehab programs, luxury rehab is no different. The programs differ from treatment center to treatment center but in general the whole point is to get you to look at your addiction honestly and realistically and to change your attitude about your drug and alcohol abuse.

At luxury rehab you will have a private therapist and will be working with someone who will design you with a unique program that is specifically catered to you and your personal needs. Whether you are business professional, executive, professional athlete, performer, or celebrity the program will be catered to what you will need in order to stay sober. You can expect to get everything you need in order to stay sober so you never have to go to luxury rehab again.

Also expect luxury rehab to keep your confidentiality at the utmost of importance. Being discreet and confidential is one of the bonuses of more private and luxury rehabs. They are more exclusive and therefore are more catered to people of higher statuses.

The main thing you should expect is of yourself to attempt to get as much of you can out the experience in order to stay sober-that’s the whole point right?
